This Sunday, May 16, the premiere of the FREE COLOR Soundtrack will be held at the L-Acoustics studios, with the technology of the engineer Carlos Mosquera, the presence of the composers Gustavo Dudamel, Devendra Banhart, Álvaro Paiva-Bimbo, Sebastián Arvelo, the director Alberto Arvelo and the producers Gabriela Camejo and Paula P. Manzanedo, along with some special guests in an intimate and private event.

The soundtrack also includes an unreleased song performed by Carlos Cruz-Diez (guitar) and his wife, Mirta Delgado (1972), and a special song, sung by Carlos Cruz-Diez’s granddaughter, Fabiana Cruz. This eclectic soundtrack poetically explores the abstract essence of the master’s legacy.

Free Color: The Soundtrack is an interpretation of the unique colors and atmospheres created by Carlos Cruz-Diez. It is a compilation of Karibanna Content.

The documentary, by the director Alberto Arvelo, is based on the story of the great master Carlos Cruz-Diez, and has the special participation of Edgar Ramírez, with the collaboration of Jorge Ruiz Cano, the Latin American art curator Mari Carmen Ramírez, the scientists Ana Asenjo, Seamus Blackley, Spyridon Michalakis and Jonathan Cohen, produced by Gabriela Camejo, Paula P. Manzanedo, Gabriel Cruz and Co-produced by David G. Azoulay and Joe Torres.

Very soon this documentary will be released worldwide, by the hand of Tondero Distribución.

The dream of maestro Carlos Cruz-Diez that is reflected in Free Color, in his words, is “Create an unprecedented event. Suddenly a mass of transparent color appears, in front of you in space, that does not exist. You can imagine it, you can dream it, but let it be present, that creates a starting point for your imagination and for the spirit”. The artist lived and worked in Paris from 1960 until his death in 2019.

The royalties from the soundtrack will go to Benefit of the Wayuu Taya Foundation, directed by Patricia Velásquez, dedicated to improving the quality of life of indigenous communities in Venezuela.

The soundtrack art is designed by Venezuelan Daniel Baloa.

Gustavo Dudamel: Winner of 3 Grammys, led the band soundtrack of Disney’s “The Nutcracker and the Four Realms”, in 2016 he participated in the 50th edition of the Super Bowl, along with Coldplay, Bruno Mars, Beyoncé and Mark Ronson, Special Guest Director on “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”

Édgar Ramirez: Venezuelan actor, winner of the César Award for the most promising actor.

Alberto Arvelo: Venezuelan director and writer. His most recent film “Liberator”.

Nella a.k.a Nella Rojas: Venezuelan singer, graduated from Berklee College of Music. She has been part of the star cast of the Oscar-winning Asghar Farhadi film, Everyone Knows, starring Javier Bardem, Ricardo Darín, and Penelope Cruz. In 2019, she won the Best New Artist award at the Latin Grammy Awards.

In conclusion, this documentary includes prestigious artists and world-renowned personalities.

The “Soundtrack” will premiere on May 17th worldwide on all digital music platforms.
