Kanal D International will be presenting its new premium drama ‘Ruthless City’ in NATPE Budapest 2019, which made a huge success and left everyone breathless with its shocking details after its season final. Greed vs. pride, passion vs. compassion and sins vs. good deeds.
The audience face the two sides of the life and intertwining of these humanly instincts within the Ruthless City. Produced by Avşar Film, directed by Cevdet Merca, and written by successful screenwriter Sırma Yanık, the drama is getting ready for its 2nd season.
Nobody is innocent before tested by their sins…Seher is a pride, traditional and a bit conservative mother living with her 2 daughters, son and her mother in law in a small town in Antakya, a city south east of Turkey. All of her 3 children are the apples of her eyes, she loves and believes in them blindly.
But her children have separate lives, dreams and ambitions which Seher doesn’t know yet. Karaçay’s offer will change their life forever.
Her family’s life changes dramatically when her mother in law makes a deal to sell one of her daughters to a wealthy man from her hometown, Agah Karaçay.
Agah is a wealthy man moved from Antakya to İstanbul very long time ago. He has a beautiful wife one son and one daughter living in a classic and magnificent mansion in Istanbul with his crippled nephew. To ensecure his nephew’s future he decides to take a bride from his hometown. With his maid’s help he made a deal with Seher’s mother in law, Neriman.
But Neriman has her own private agenda. She keeps the marriage with the cripple nephew as a secret and twits the story of this marriage to convience Seher to move to Istanbul as a family.
