Meryl Streep
The new addition to the stellar cast of the second installment of BIG LITTLE LIES is Oscar® winner Meryl Streep who will play Mary Louise Wright, mother of Perry (Alexander Skarsgård), who arrives in Monterrey in search of answers after the death of his son.
Streep joins the stars and executive producers Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon who will again play the roles of Celeste and Madeline respectively. David E. Kelley continues as the writer of this new seven-chapter installment that is partially based on the story of Liane Moriarty, author of the book on which the original limited series was based.
BIG LITTLE LIES was a hit among fans and critics following its premiere in January of last year. The series received the most recognitions, more than any other production, in the respective categories obtaining more than eight Emmys® awards and four awards in the most recent delivery of the Golden Globes®.
