In Cordoba, Argentina, audiovisual business meeting of audiovisual content

From August 21 to 24, eight national and international media and audiovisual production companies will visit the Province of Cordoba in search of local content and co-production projects.

This is the first audiovisual mission promoted by the Government of the Province of Cordoba, through Polo Audiovisual and the ProCordoba Agency, the exporting group Cordoba Produces, the Federal Council of Investments (CFI) and the publication of the sector Prensario Internacional.

The objective is that the meeting of eight international referents of the audiovisual industry and seven local producers nucleated in the exporter group Cordoba Produces concrete businesses.

Four filmmakers from the province of Mendoza, participate as “Guest Region” and co-organizer of this encounter, through the audiovisual cluster Film Andes. This cluster has agreements with the Chamber of Audiovisual Producers of Cordoba (CAPAC).

Roberto Avalle, Minister of Industry, Commerce and Mining of Cordoba, recalled that this activity is considered an industry, so it receives similar benefits to other manufacturing products and said that success is assured because many Cordoban film productions have been successful in very important European festivals.

The international media and content production companies that will visit Cordoba in search of local content and co-production projects are: Sony Pictures Television (USA), TV Azteca (Mexico), Tondero (Peru), Rizoma Producciones (Chile), TVZero (Brazil) ), in addition to the pan-regional FOX Networks Group Latin America and Viacom International Media Network (VIMN) and Telecom Argentina.

Among the producers, for the province of Cordoba participate: El Calefon, Prisma Cine, Jaque Content, Tr3s Mares, Ideas por Rosca, Twins Latin Films and Feelm; and for Mendoza, Frontera Films, Palo Gol, Oeste Films and Vlexus.

Jorge Alvarez, coordinator of Polo Audiovisual of the Province, stressed: “Currently there are 12,370 career audiovisual students that endorse Cordoba to be considered the great powerhouse of professionals in the business. This mission is part of a program of support to the audiovisual industry, which has the technical, logistical and financial assistance of the CFI and of the Agencia ProCordoba , who seek to increase the visibility of the province and the sector in the international market.”

Among the central objectives of this first meeting highlights the promotion of the regional and federal audiovisual industry between productive poles in order to attract more investments in the audiovisual field and to bet on the growing development achieved in recent years. The aim is to position the Province of Cordoba as an important referent in the audiovisual field of the country in its challenge to conquer external markets.

Since its inception, this group has participated in markets of global relevance such as MIPCOM, NAPTE, MIPTV, European Film Market, Rio Creative Conference, DocMontevideo, Ventana Sur, among others, offering a complete catalog of services covering pre-production, production and post-production. Likewise, its productions have been awarded in the most important international festivals.
