Turner and Dish Mexico sign multiyear distribution agreement

Turner Broadcasting System (TBS) Latin America, Inc. announced the agreement with Dish Mexico for distribution of its channels in Mexico. Under this new partnership, the Turner channels will be available for the 2.5 million Dish subscribers, such as: Cartoon Network, Boomerang, TNT, Space, I.Sat, CNN International, CNN in Spanish, Infinito, TBS and HTV, in addition to the HD versions of some of the company’s channels (Space HD, truTV HD, CNN HD and TNT HD).

“Since its inception, Dish has marked a turning point in providing users with an attractive offer of programming services at affordable rates and coinciding with the economic reality in the country, making it a trigger for accelerated growth experienced by the industry of pay TV in Mexico,” said Luis Bolio, Mexico general manager and senior vice president of TBS Latin America. “We are proud to be part of this successful business strategy; with this agreement we will go in hand in what looks to be a promising future for the company.”

 For his part, Benjamin Ramirez Lozano, marketing director for Dish Mexico, said: “For Dish Mexico the signing of this agreement represents an extraordinary news item, as it strengthens our partnership with Turner, the pioneer group in Mexico and Latin America in the development and distribution of programming of news, entertainment and world-class animation.
